{"id":19610,"date":"2020-06-18T07:00:06","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T12:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblicalcounselor.com\/?p=19610"},"modified":"2020-06-18T07:06:44","modified_gmt":"2020-06-18T12:06:44","slug":"does-biblical-submission-encourage-sinful-abuse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biblicalcounselor.com\/?p=19610","title":{"rendered":"Does Biblical Submission Encourage Sinful Abuse?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Does&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">b<span data-contrast=\"auto\">iblical&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<span data-contrast=\"auto\">ubmission of a&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">w<span data-contrast=\"auto\">ife position her to be&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<span data-contrast=\"auto\">bused by&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<span data-contrast=\"auto\">er&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<span data-contrast=\"auto\">usband?<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The answer is no.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Because of the political winds today, Bible-believing Christians are being confused&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">by&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">and even wrongly influenced by the &ldquo;Me&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">T<span data-contrast=\"auto\">oo<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&rdquo;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;and &ldquo;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Feminist&rdquo; movement<span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<span data-contrast=\"auto\">. It seems that tried and true complementarian views are coming under unbiblical scrutiny with false and&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">misleading<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;attacks<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;on all sides. By complem<span data-contrast=\"auto\">entarian I mean that a wife is to be a &ldquo;complement&rdquo; to her husband (not a compliment). In other words, she is to be&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">a helper to her husband and&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">submi<span data-contrast=\"auto\">t<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;to h<span data-contrast=\"auto\">im&nbsp;<span data-contrast=\"auto\">unless he asks her to sin.<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Now we know that since the fall of Adam and Eve<span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;there has been a power struggle between everyone on the planet! But it seems, at times, to be especially difficult between husbands and wives. After all, who would not want to have their own way?
