Amy Baker is the general editor and a contributing author. In addition to Dr. Baker, other contributing authors include Julie Lowe, Jonathan Holmes, Mike Emlet, Ed Welch, Kevin Carson, Charles Hodges, Joni and Friends, and several others.<\/p>\n<p>I was honored when Amy asked me to contribute a chapter on counseling grieving children. My chapter is called:<\/p>\n<p><em>Facing Death and Grief: Hope and Help for Hurting Children<\/em><\/p>\n<p> <strong>Why I Wrote Facing Death and Grief<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>As you may know, I&rsquo;ve written two books on grief:<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/rpmministries.org\/writing\/gods-healing-for-lifes-losses\/\">God&rsquo;s Healing for Life&rsquo;s Losses: How to Find Hope When You&rsquo;re Hurting<\/a><\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/rpmministries.org\/writing\/grief-walking-with-jesus\/\">Grief: Walking with Jesus<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>So this topic of biblical counseling and grief is very important to me. Why?<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Grief &amp; the Trinity<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Grief counseling is important to me because our grief is very important to the Trinity. <\/p>\n<p>When we are distressed, our Father, too, is distressed (Isaiah 63:9). God is the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus is the Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3).
