The more I read, the more I see how much of the battle is not merely one of competing ideologies, but of competing vocabularies. John Stonestreet has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakpoint.org\/breakpoint-why-freedom-is-so-fragile\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">pointed out<\/a> that \u201cit\u2019s no good having the same vocabulary if we\u2019re using different dictionaries.\u201d And when it comes to social justice, that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s happening\u2014we are drawing definitions from different dictionaries.<\/p>\n<p>No one is arguing against justice. You don\u2019t hear people on the streets chanting, \u201cNo injustice, no peace!\u201d or \u201cWhat do we want? Injustice! When do we want it? Now!\u201d Of course not! Everyone wants justice. Not only that, but everyone wants justice to extend to the community, to the social sphere. In that way, everyone wants not only justice, but social justice. The problem is that different people mean very different things by \u201cjustice\u201d and therefore by \u201csocial justice.\u201d As long as both sides refuse to cede the term to the other, definitions will remain critical.
