Similarly, I often know the things that Scripture says I should be doing, but I often struggle with\u00a0<em>how\u00a0<\/em>to do them<em>.<\/em>\u00a0I imagine I\u2019m not alone.<\/p>\n<p>We all know Jesus\u2019 words in the Sermon on the Mount: \u201cLet your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven\u201d (Matt. 5:16, CSB). But many of us get stuck on\u00a0<em>how<\/em>\u00a0to shine our lights. Should I post more on social media? Should I serve at a local homeless shelter? Should I talk to my neighbors more?<\/p>\n<p>As believers, we must apply the message of the cross to all of life. We must understand that the gospel has implications that are meant to bear fruit in and through our lives. The gospel compels and empowers us toward generosity, justice, brotherly love, and many other things! And it\u2019s this fruit that\u2019s a shining testimony of who Jesus is to our community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THREE WAYS TO BE A GOOD WITNESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.
