It was a friend texting, &ldquo;I need some shepherding advice.&rdquo; &ldquo;Shepherding advice&rdquo; didn&rsquo;t sound like a crisis, so I decided to reply later. All of my other phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp messages demanded more immediate attention.
