Do you know what that song actually says?<\/p>\n
\u201cWell . . .\u201d<\/p>\n
It says, \u201cHe knows what you\u2019ve been thinking\u2014whether you\u2019ve been bad or good—so be good for goodness sake,\u201d and so on…<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah\u2014that\u2019s part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
If that were true, he\u2019d be God.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n
Think\u2014how else could he be everywhere, knowing everything about every child?<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know\u2014never thought about that. Not too good to teach our children such a thing?\u201d<\/p>\n
Absolutely not! Then, when they realize that the whole thing is a fairy tale, what are they likely to think of the One Who really does know what they\u2019ve been doing and thinking all year long?<\/p>\n
\u201cWell —?\u201d<\/p>\n
And, one thing more—<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s that?\u201d<\/p>\n
Simply this: Never tell anyone to \u201cbe good for goodness sake!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy not?\u201d<\/p>\n
Because we ought to be good for Jesus\u2019 sake!<\/p>\n
\u201cOH! I guess you\u2019re right!\u201d<\/p>\n
