When we\u2019re going through really difficult times, it\u2019s sometimes hard to believe God\u2019s Word that our trials will result in something good (Romans 8:28)<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em>\u00a0 We wade into deep waters and fear that God\u2019s grace will not be enough.\u00a0 Part of this fear may be because we\u2019re in uncharted waters.\u00a0 We never thought we\u2019d be in the position we find ourselves in.\u00a0 We desperately search the Scriptures, we pray fervently, we cry out to Him in faith, but we don\u2019t see any rational point for the darkness that\u2019s settled over our lives. It\u2019s times like this that we should learn from Jesus how to handle the fearful times we face.<\/p>\n

In Matthew 3:13-17 we read that Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan river to be baptized by John the Baptist.\u00a0 When Jesus came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove.\u00a0 Then God made a public proclamation:<\/p>\n

And a voice from heaven said, \u201cThis is My Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased.\u201d\u00a0 Matthew 3:17<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

God publicly proclaimed His love for His Son and that He was well pleased with Him. Immediately after this we read:<\/p>\n

Then Jesus was led by<\/p>\n
