Since I tend to write robust (long) posts, and since I love to aliterate, I jokingly thought of naming today\u2019s post,<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>65 Practical Principles for Primordial People!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Instead, I\u2019ll share a few \u201coff the top of my head\u201d musings as I finally reach adulthood!<\/p>\n<p> <strong>I\u2019m Thankful to Be Alive at 65<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Life is fleeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Now listen,\u00a0you who say, \u201cToday or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.\u201d\u00a0Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.\u00a0Instead, you ought to say, \u201cIf it is the Lord\u2019s will,\u00a0we will live and do this or that\u201d (James 4:13-15).<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t take living to 65 for granted. My father passed away when he was just 53. In the past decade, four of my extended family members passed away at or before age 65.<\/p>\n<p>When people complain about getting old, I always thing, \u201cWell, there are two options. You keep getting older, or you die.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m thankful to be alive.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>I\u2019m Thankful to<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When you turn 65, you get to share some stuff.
