Asian Academics, Canadian Fishing Boats, and Tribal Warfare
Do you remember your first big trip? I do. It was back when I was in my early 20s. A kind person had gifted me a flight to San Diego from Belgium to visit a close friend. It was my first long-haul flight and my first time in North America. As we approached land, I could see fishing boats off the Canadian coast. I wondered what was on their minds as they went about their daily lives. That week, I read in Ephesians 1:12 that believers are to the praise of His glory. I thought about the people working on the boats. Were they praising the Lord in how they worked? With these thoughts on my mind as I approached a new continent, I thought of Numbers 14:21, where the Lord promises that all the earth will be filled with His glory. During the last few years, the Lord, in His abundant grace, has given me the tremendous privilege of teaching people worldwide how to apply Scripture to life’s issues.
