New Growth Press has recently begun publishing a set of new resources self-admittedly titled as “small books.” The format and structure of each book reflect a specific pedagogical intention. Many counseling books rely upon the traditional “chapter-book” format, forcing readers to follow sustained logical arguments to deduce and self-apply counseling principles. Counselors discover that some counselees may not have read a book since finishing their highest level of education. As an accessible resource to the average counselee, this series of “small books” presents relevant biblical truths within a devotional format.
