“O You of Little Faith, Why Do You Doubt?”

Sincere believers often struggle to fully believe what they profess to believe. Specifically, they may doubt that the Father’s love is enough for their identity and worth; the Son’s redemptive work is enough for their righteousness and security; and the Spirit’s power is enough for their motivation and growth. This promotes burdensome discipleship and restricted love. The gospel wonderfully proclaims that the Father’s love, the Son’s work, and the Spirit’s power are enough to liberate, motivate, and activate the weakest believer to a life of “faith working through love” (Gal. 5:6), leading to eternal joy.
