What once was whole is now broken into pieces. You may get out the glue and try to put it back together the way it was, but you see the imperfections and some of the pieces don’t fit back like they were. It’s not the same, no matter how hard we try, the item is still broken.

Darryl Burling is the Founder and CEO of Biblical Mastery Academy and Chairman of the Board for New Zealand Biblical Counseling Association. Darryl spent 15 years in the IT industry, working in a variety of roles before beginning his theological education. He completed a Bachelor of the Arts in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University in less than two years and then graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from The Master’s Seminary. He then went on to doctoral studies, earning a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Counseling with a minor in Biblical Spirituality from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Darryl has been happily married for 30 years and has three grown daughters. He serves as an elder and occasional preacher in his local church. Ellen is the Director of Equipping for Ministry to Women for Harvest USA and a member of the BCC Council. She joined Harvest USA in 2007 as their first full-time women’s ministry staff. She has authored several mini-books, a women’s curriculum, a devotional, and, most recently, Jesus and Your Unwanted Journey: Wives Finding Comfort After Sexual Betrayal. Ellen now focuses on producing new content and developing training for churches. She received her MA from Covenant Theological Seminary and a graduate certificate in biblical counseling from the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). Asking the Right Questions

If you are a person that others gravitate toward for help and assistance in solving life’s problems you already know that people come with a variety of problems. Contrary to popular thinking, the greatest need of a counselee is not always an answer to their problem! Rather, the greatest need is to learn to interpret their problems from a biblical perspective. We all need consistent reminders that our problems are not unique, but common to man.
