Dr. Joe Miller is a BCC Council Member and serves as Counseling Pastor at Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, Washington. He is a certified member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Joe received a BS from the University of California Los Angeles, an MDiv from The Master’s Seminary, and a DMin in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Over the last 20 years, Joe has served in local churches in Colorado, California, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee, and Washington. He is also the Japan Coordinator for Overseas Instruction in Counseling (OIC). Joe has been blessed with a godly wife, Tara, and they have four remarkable children. Dr. Mike Emlet is a BCC Council Member and faculty member at CCEF (Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation). He holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary. He worked as a family physician for over ten years before joining CCEF. Mike has counseled for many years and is the author of CrossTalk: Where Life and Scripture Meet, which explores the use of Scripture in counseling, Descriptions and Prescriptions: A Biblical Perspective on Psychiatric Diagnoses and Medications, and most recently Saints, Sufferers, and Sinners: Loving Others as God Loves Us.
