Ministry Update from Overseas Instruction in Counseling
We naturally resist change, especially when it is in the form of adversity and trial. But through it, we develop resilience. Resilience and grit help us walk through change and challenges with confidence and courage. Ultimately, this comes from the grace and glory we receive from God. Consider what Peter says to the challenged church in 1 Peter, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Pet. 5:10). God gives us the courage to endure, and our future glory gives us the confidence to endure. Grace and glory from God help us develop the resilience we need to walk through various challenges.
