2022 Ministry Update: CCEF

At the 2022 National Conference, Alasdair Groves ended our time with a session on the book of Job. One question he asked was, “Why is this book so incredibly long? Did God really need 42 chapters, dialogue after dialogue, to drive home a point about His sovereignty in the midst of suffering?” While Alasdair’s trek through the book of Job led him to a few likely answers to that question, one stood out. God invites us to wrestle earnestly and honestly with Him, and in this, He is unbelievably patient with us. That patience is a hopeful thing as we consider the ups and downs, detours and shortcuts, mountain peaks and low valleys of our lives.
