Shepherd Press acknowledges the passing of friend and Shepherd Press author, Wayne Mack.

Dr. Mack worked tirelessly with Jay Adams as an early pioneer of the biblical counseling movement. Wayne left an indelible mark through his dedication to the sufficiency of Scripture for counseling as well as of all of life.

After serving Christ for forty years in the USA as a church planter, pastor, and professor, both at Westminster Theological Seminary and as head of the counseling department at Masters Seminary, Wayne and his wife, Carol, moved to South Africa for their last twenty years of ministry. In South Africa, Dr. Mack served as an elder in Lynwood Baptist Church, Pretoria. Wayne founded ACBC Africa, and Strengthening Ministry Training Institute (STMI).

We mourn his passing in full hope of the resurrection and life everlasting.

Dr. Mack’s books with Shepherd Press are A Practical Guide for Effective Biblical Counseling and The Why, The What, and The How of Church Membership.
