An Open Letter to Parents of an Engaged Christian Couple

Dear Parents,

Let me offer you a hearty congratulations on your son or daughter’s engagement. Lord willing, in the coming year, God will grant your child the wonderful gift of marriage. It’s certainly not something to take for granted. Many singles spend years desiring marriage but never find a spouse.

I’m writing this letter with the assumption that you’re not a Christian and your son or daughter is a born-again believer. You may not believe the Bible is true and Jesus is the Savior of sinners, but they do. You may not care what God thinks, but they do.
