Do you ever find your kids struggle to trust your parental guidance? Consider this: they are often educated to question and distrust it. Pop culture paints authority as oppressive and unnecessary; parental authority is portrayed as clueless and irrelevant. Young people are biased against us and encouraged to pursue what’s right for them. Loving parental authority is often met with resistance, disgust, or outward rebellion.
