True Hope in Battling Fear: A Lesson from Psalm 3
I often use the Psalms in my own abiding relationship with the Lord and in my counseling ministries. They do such a good job helping us rightly identify and orient our emotions and feelings. Our culture tends to swing between venting feelings/emotions regardless of the consequence and a stuffing stoicism. Both extremes are wrong and damaging to the soul. The Psalms teach us how to pray our emotions and feelings to God. They teach us to reverently and reflectively pour them out before the Lord and process them through His perfect insights.
