Rightfully, there’s been much discussion on what makes biblical counseling biblical, but what makes biblical counseling counseling? Answering that question helps counselors know what skills to sharpen and helps a church differentiate counseling from ministries like discipleship, advice, or shepherding.[1] This article aims to highlight what the counseling aspect of biblical counseling entails.
