Sadness is part of being human in a fallen world. It affects everyone, both the Christian and non-Christian alike. But what should we do with our sadness? Should we reject sadness in our pursuit of Christian joy? Should we aim to put an end to all our sadness in this era? No. Sadness is not antithetical to Christian joy. And, no. Our goal should not be to drive away sadness completely.
