“You can do nothing.” This might sound like a harsh truth, but it is the profound starting point for understanding how we can truly care for others in a way that goes beyond our natural capabilities. Jesus’ statement in John 15:5 is not meant to discourage us, but to summon our dependence on Him. It reveals that authentic love and care for others do not originate in our own strength or willpower.
