People need sound doctrine to help them face life’s troubles; yet not all Christians see the value of theological reflection. Theologically robust counseling can build bridges between the pain points of life and sound doctrine. There are many reasons why people may struggle with doctrine. I think one important reason to consider is that theology often feels too simplistic to be really livable.
