“He knows we can’t both hide and flourish” (p. 8). It took only two chapters into creation before hiding became the norm. Ever since the first fig tree lost its leaves to Adam and Eve’s frantic attempt to hide what could not be concealed, mankind has continued this pattern of pursuing earthbound coverings for spiritual problems. We hide because we can feel that something within us is very wrong.
