In the previous post, we considered the problem of counselees who don’t have the perspective or courage to tell the truth about their stories and thus may be stymied in their spiritual growth. Today, we’ll consider some of the reasons counselees may find it hard to face the reality of the suffering and hardship they’ve experienced and ways that counselors can help. Why Not Tell the Truth?
