Recently, Heath Lambert shared what he called a long-form essay entitled Priest in the Garden, Zombies in the Wilderness, and Prophets on the Wall. While I won’t link to it, you can easily find it.

You can also easily find reactions on social media, ranging from praise/applause to grief/disagreement.

What biblical principles would guide us if someone confronts us in a way that we believe is unfair, untrue, un-Christlike, unbiblical, and ungracious?

As I mentioned, some see Heath’s confrontation as brilliantly biblical and boldly truthful. Others see it as lacking in both truth and love. The discussion/debate will not die anytime soon.

Rather than make my own assessment of what Heath said, I want us to ponder God’s all-sufficient word, especially speaking to those who might perceive Heath as having spoken without truth in love. If you find yourself in that situation, what does the Bible teach?
