One Church’s Story of Training Biblical Counselors

When I came to Parkside Church in 2007, the pastor of care and counseling before me had laid a solid foundation for equipping ordinary people for the work of care. He had served faithfully for years, and he had nurtured a small group of women in the church to care for the needs of others. I remember the first gathering of those counselors I participated in; we were a humble group of about 7-8 people, eager to learn and grow in our discipleship skills.
