“Give Me a Parenting How To Manual!”
As parents, and as biblical family counselors, we are often tempted to be like Manoah and his wife—demanding a parenting manual instead of depending upon every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). It’s a natural desire. We all want a how to manual for parenting.
Manoah and his wife—the parents of Samson—were no exception. Having remained childless for decades, imagine the excitement Manoah’s wife experiences when the angel of the Lord appears with this promise:
