“When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints” (Ps. 77:3). Those who struggle with scrupulosity can deeply resonate with this verse, along with others from Psalm 77, like, “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” (Ps. 77:7-9).
