Have you or someone you love experienced the horrors of sexual abuse?

Do you wonder how the shattered pieces of life can be put back together?

Tuesday evening, July 23, from 6:30-8:30 PM at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC (2101 Carmel Road), I’ll be presenting:

Beauty for Ashes: Ministering to Victims of Sexual Abuse

Compassionate Care and Healing Hope in Christ

Here’s how I introduce the evening’s discussion:

Our holy and loving God is not silent about the horrors of sexual abuse. Nor is our compassionate heavenly Father silent about healing hope for sexual abuse victims.

Through a biblical study of 2 Samuel 13, we will begin to sense some of the horrible damage done by sexual abuse.

Then we will learn together how to begin to share Christ’s healing hope with sexual abuse survivors—so they experience beauty for ashes.

Join us as we walk with Tamar in 2 Samuel 13:1-19 on a journey from a loss of faith, hope, love, and peace to a place of faith in the midst of doubt, hope in the midst of evil, love in the midst of sin, and peace in the midst of shame—all by Christ’s grace.
